For this summer, I'll be in Georgia working with a youth group.
So far, I've had orientation with 17 other amazing summer missionaries! It was an amazing two days. We had different seminars with different people from the Georgia Baptist Convention. The one that hit home the most was the seminar on unity. Not only does that apply to my job this summer, but also to different situations that will be waiting for me when I return home. There were some things said that I will definitely be taking back with me to share with some groups of which I am a member. I can't wait to see how God binds us together (both this summer and in times to come) when we guard against the enemies of unity! Those we talked about were poor communication, gossip, unresolved conflicts, sanctioned incompetence, and one more I can't seem to remember. I'll review, I promise!
Last night was my first time meeting the youth group. The church is a bit smaller than I've been a member of, but everyone is very nice! There were about 20 kids from 7th to 12th grade there last night. I can't wait to get to know them more and form relationships with them. God is going to move in amazing ways this summer, and I can't wait to see the changes He makes in each of us individually and collectively as a group!
Yesterday, I also moved into my house for the summer. It's such a blessing! There are three bedrooms, one and a half baths, a living room, and a full kitchen. My room is great: African pictures and themed decor (that's the tie to Africa :) ) It's quite a gigantic step up from my African houses haha Solid floors and walls are great! (Not that I didn't love Africa)
Well, that's all I have time to post for today! I'll post again soon! :) Pictures coming soon!
Prayer Requests
- Energy

- We have a lot of planning to do for this summer
- In June, every week is a new trip or VBS to do. We have a lot left to finish and then actually doing the events to a level of excellence
- Our overseas trip is to Albania during the last week of June/first week of July. We still have some money left to raise. Pray that God will provide the needed finances.
